As part of my “Hello Deer” branding campaign I created a lot of different deer illustrations and eventually landed on a deer looking up at the snow for my logo.
This was a collaboration to redesign the Pan's Labyrinth title sequence from an illustrated storytelling perspective.
This was a short piece I made for my video production class. For this project I decided to combine photography, motion graphics, video, and stop motion to introduce the authentic and traditional side of the Juan Valdez coffee brand
This project started off as a triptych where I was prompted to come up with three important events in my life that could be strung together in a narrative.
The three stories this piece is telling are my mother's passing, a car accident I was involved in, and getting accepted to Art Center College of Design.
I represented my mother as the tree, myself as an apple, and the experience of my education as a growing seed.
This was a final for my 3D motion class. We were given a word, "Spring", and were assigned to do an animation based on the word. I associate spring with painting eggs and chose to have fun with it by making the eggs accidentally paint each other in a Mexican stand off.
The creature is a character I originally designed in 2008. After learning traditional 2D animation techniques, Photoshop, After Effects, and Cinema 4D; I revisited this character design and animated a walk cycle for it.
A re-imagination of The Kite Runner title sequence. I wanted to play off of the imagery already given to us by the movie. However, instead of blood in the snow I repurposed the snow as a flower.
I think it also plays along with other themes of the film such as withering and war protest.
The prompt for this gruesome sequence was to invent a character under the title "Manhunt". I took this literally as a man who hunts other men and did a lot of research on serial killers.
As a twist to my story, I made my character a serial killer by night and a butcher by day who sells his victims' flesh to unsuspecting deli customers.
